Offers

Edit this page on GitHub

An offer is a private message thread between you and the owner of a module listed on MutaMarket. It is how you haggle.

There is no accept or reject button. You agree a price in the thread and settle it in game, normally with a contract. Offers only exist for modules listed here directly. Anything on an in-game contract is bought through that contract instead.

Making one

Find a directly listed module on the market. Its price is either the seller's asking price or "Make offer" if they have not set one. Click it, write your message, send.

Say the number. Put it near the top and write it so it cannot be misread, "1.5b" or "1,500,000,000". If you are offering below asking, say why. Appraise the module and look at what similar ones are listed for first, so the number you give is defensible.

One open offer per module. If you already have one, the card says "Go to offer" instead. You cannot send offers to someone who has blocked you.

Managing them

Offers has everything you have sent and received, newest message first, and searchable. Each row shows the module, its estimated value, who you are talking to, and the last message. Unread ones are marked, and the nav item carries a count.

Open a thread and the sidebar shows the module, the asking price and the estimate. Enter sends a message, Shift+Enter starts a new line.

"Leave offer" backs out. The thread disappears for you, and once either side leaves nobody can send anything more. Use it when you have lost interest rather than going quiet.

Blocking

"Block user" in a thread blocks the whole account, every character on it. They cannot send you offers again, and every offer between you, in both directions, is left automatically.

There is no way to undo this yourself. If you block someone by mistake you will have to ask us.

Notifications

You get one channel, whichever applies.

If you have linked Discord in your settings, notifications arrive as direct messages: new offers straight away, and a reminder if messages sit unread.

Without Discord, the same notifications go out as in-game mail, to whichever character you picked under Notifications in your settings.

While you have the site open you also get toasts, and the offers nav item shows your unread count.
